Bluegrass Alliance, new edition, outdoor concert July 4th, 2001, Cornelia, GA in front of Habersham Bank. Barry Palmer-banjo, Chuck Nation-fiddle, Tom Hicks-mandolin, Johnny Martin-guitar, Larita Buchanan-bass. Barry Palmer had a close relationship with fiddle player and band leader Lonnie Peerce from Kentucky, and at Lonnie’s bequest of the name and all rights, master recordings, etc., Barry re-birthed a new edition of his favorite band, the Bluegrass Alliance in 1998, twenty years after the original band’s last breath. As a nearby Georgia neighbor, and because of Chuck Nation’s past membership in a configuration of the Bluegrass Alliance 1972-74 as mandolin player and then guitar player, Barry recruited Chuck to play gigs on fiddle with the band’s reprise. They recorded an album called Re-Alliance for Copper Creek Records in 2001, toured Japan in September of that year, and played countless other shows and venues for several years. They were frequent guests on Ernest Tubb’s Midnight Jamboree in Nashville. R.I.P. Barry Palmer February 6, 1960--January 27, 2026. https://www.chucknationband.com/
