POEMS of the DAILY MADNESS is an opera, no, a romantic singspiel by claudia bosse (text) and günther auer (composition) about everyday life in times of raising social and political tensions. it evolves as a set choreography around scenic elements and installations in space with the contribution of 4 allegoric figures – POEMS (nicola schößler), HATE CRIME (nic lloyd), MADNESS (mirjam klebel) und TERROR (alexandra sommerfeld). these figures represent principles, manifestations or events that form our REALITY. voices and instruments meet computer processed sound structures and develop a setting that is accessible for viewers, surrounded by an ensemble of speakers. opera as a shared space and as an accessible installation. POEMS of the DAILY MADNESS negotiates the efficacy of art as a radical space for other possibilities of intervention. opera as the most artificial form seems to be the only adequate form to claim a position nowadays.
