Orange State Enduro of Croom - 09/28/2025 - Master C (2nd place)

This was my last race in the Master C class as I am going up to Master B for the upcoming season, starting Oct.12th in Bartow for the first hare scramble. Although I did not accumulate enough points last season to ride in B, I decided it was for the best to start row #8 instead of row #14. It's going to be a different ball game for sure, but I'm looking forward to the challenge. This race was particularly hard for several reasons, first I slept only 3 hours the night before, I work Saturday nights so I can't leave my home before 11:30pm, which makes me arrived onsite at Croom by 3:30am as I live 4 hours away in south Florida. Sleeping in my Jeep in the parking lot is not fun, especially right before 3h30min race. The first test was super fast and somewhat short, but I burned myself right away, I started too hard and I paid the price, it took me a long time to recover from this one, as I started feeling good by the middle of test #3. Test #4 is when the enduro really started and it was misery. Very tight sections full of roots that never ended, I somewhat finished that one ok but had no time to rest before starting test #5 as I would have timed out, so I went right away and caught up with Eric who the race (congrats Eric!). A big thank you to club for organizing such a great event, especially Kyle Hauss for cheering me up with his broom! On the tech side, the bike felt fantastic, and I had my first GoPro failure as my battery pack did not charge up the camera so I have only the first test and part of the second only.
