BGD Base Paraglider Unboxing and Maiden Flight

I unbox and then fly a BGD Base ML, (Lava) paraglider at Sopot, Bulgaria with Gavin Jillings of fly4seasons.co.uk (paragliding and motor biking holidays I'm happy to recommend!) After the unboxing we took the Sopot chair lift to take off and Gavin's first time tandem passenger, Ivanka, holds the GoPro to show the pretty colour scheme of the maiden flight of the BGD Base ML, Lava. This Bulgaria region of the rose valley appears in the video and will add that it makes for a super Spring, Summer and Autumn destination for hiking, biking, mtb, wine tasting, Spa hotel -- as well as paragliding, suitable for learners, intermediates and advanced pilots. NOTES: The BGD Base came up really easily using a reverse launch in what was a very very light breeze. Initial impressions are of a wing that feels reassuringly smooth. It does not feel nervous like some high end B rated wings. So far the Base has a solid one piece and connected feel...but with plenty of feel to hunt out the weakest of thermals. I was impressed with the speed of the wing. Conclusion: A must try high quality wing that has lots of attention to the small details that bring a smile both when unboxing and when taking that maiden flight.
