Dyson Gen5detect™ vacuums include the point-and-shoot bin emptying mechanism. This hygienically drives out dust and debris in one action. There’s no need to touch the dirt. Take care to empty as soon as the dirt reaches the level of the MAX mark – do not overfill. Make sure your machine is disconnected from the charger before emptying the clear bin, and be careful not to turn on the machine. Remove the wand by pressing the red wand release button and pulling away. To release the dirt, hold the appliance with the bin in a downwards position then firmly press the red bin release button. The bin will slide down, cleaning the shroud as it goes, the bin base will then open. Please note, the bin base will not open if the red button is not pushed down fully. If you wish to clean your bin, press the red release button on the bottom of the bin and slide the bin off the runner. Use a damp lint-free cloth to wipe the bin clean. It is important to make sure that all parts of your bin, including the rubber seals, are completely dry before refitting. To refit, slide the bin onto the runner. Then push the bin base upwards until the bin and case click into place. IMPORTANT: Please note that neither the clear bin or the cyclone pack should be washed or submerged. This could cause damage to your Dyson vacuum not covered under guarantee. Don’t put any part of your machine in a dishwasher or use detergents, polishes or air fresheners.
