UCD Faces of Research is a collection of films that showcases leading researchers in UCD and their contribution to society. The video profiles portray the passion, commitment and drive of the researcher, while also evoking some of the ‘magic of discovery’, that is research. Professor Mike O’ Neill is the ICON Chair of Business Analytics in the UCD School of Business, Director of the UCD Complex & Adaptive Systems Laboratory (CASL), and a founding Director of the UCD Natural Computing Research & Applications Group. He is one of the inventors of Grammatical Evolution, is the lead author of the seminal book on this subject, and is independently ranked as one of the top 5 researchers in Genetic Programming.
