The Rameshwara Temple complex in Keladi, near Sagara in Shimoga district, is a historically significant site that served as the first capital of the Keladi Nayak dynasty. Inside the walled complex, you'll find three distinct shrines: Rameshwara Temple (center) Virabhadra Temple (right) Parvati Temple (left) These temples reflect a fusion of Dravidian and local Malnad architectural styles, and were built and expanded during the rule of the Keladi Nayaks (1499–1763 AD), who governed the Malnad region with Keladi as their stronghold.
