Box 453 Greenwell Springs, LA 70739 EMAIL: [email protected] INSTAGRAM: / tales_from_an_empty_nest Recipe: 1 onion, diced pork chops chicken broth cream of mushroom soup (if you want) Start by dicing up your onion. Set it to the side. Wash and pat dry your pork chops. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Put some flour in a bowl and add a your seasonings. I used salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and Tony's. You can use whatever your family likes. Flour your pork chops, be sure to shake off the excess. In a skillet, heat some oil. Just enough to brown these pork chops and enough to make your roux. Brown the pork chops on both sides (about 1 min each side). Sit them to the side. Mix up a can of cream of mushroom soup and about 3/4 cup of broth for later. Add your onions to the leftover oil in the skillet and cook till their tender. Add some of the seasoned flour and make a roux. Add a little chicken broth and then add your soup/broth mixture if you're using it. Keep adding your broth and stirring until it's the consistency you want. Once your gravy is done, add your chops to the crockpot and pour the gravy over. Put the lid on and cook them for about 3 hours. Serve over mashed potatoes or rice.
