NIRA Stranded As 500k ID-Seeking Ugandans Apply Using Similar Names

Mulengera News - Addressing lawyers at Uganda Law Society weekly media event, NIRA ED Rosemary Kisembo revealed that Gov't (the GoU) will have to rely on facial recognition and thump print identification technology to effectively distinguish a total of 450,000 national IDs-carrying Ugandans who have exactly similar names. It simply means that out there is a total of 450k authentic National IDs whose owners have exactly the same names. Kisembo explained that these are Ugandans with three names which are exactly similar. She admitted it's such a big coincidence and proceeded to clarify that there is nothing fraudulent or even unlawful about that.
