A walk to the top of Crook Peak, Somerset, New Year’s Day 2018. Crook peak is the hill that you can’t fail to see if you’re heading south on the M5 motorway in Somerset. It’s distinctive crooked peak is on your left a few miles south of junction 21 for Weston-super-Mare. The 360 deg view from the top is worth every step of the climb. On a clear day you’re able to see the reservoir at Cheddar, the town of Weston and across the bristol channel to the black mountains in Wales. Brent Knoll a few miles south is easily visible in any weather.
