NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - (ABC Paramount 10566) The debut single and also the first of two that musician/composer/vocalist Lamar Morris would issue for ABC Paramount Records. Recorded in Nashville in April 1964 and released in June of that year, 'I Lost Someone' is an excellent example of the soulful pop material that was coming out of Nashville in the mid 1960's. Produced by an uncredited, Jack Sanders, the brassy and drum laden backing track that includes harmonic girly vocal group, is more than likely the uncredited arranging work of Ray Stevens. The flipside, 'Wanted' is a cover of the 1954 Perry Como recording and Lamar's version is by no means, no throwaway. After leaving ABC Paramount, Morris released a singles for Bonanza Records, Boone Records, M~G~M and finally 20th Century. He was later a member of the Bama Band and also part of the Hank Williams Jr band.
