Opening in 1989, the Wonders of Life pavilion was a one-of-a-kind edutainment hub, combining groundbreaking technology with classic crowd eaters to teach guests about the importance of managing their health (much to the benefit of the pavilion's generous sponsor, insurance company MetLife). From its earliest concepts, the Wonders of Life pavilion was set to be a masterpiece - and a huge one at that. Intricate plans for beautiful, colourful set pieces and animatronic lungs dated back over a decade, but - upon opening - the product that guests received was far from. Despite being beautiful in its own right, the pavilion could not be further than the proposed vision so, in today's video, we'll discuss the biggest change of them all: the Incredible Journey Within to Body Wars pipeline. while it's been almost a year since you last had the pleasure of hearing about the wonders of life pavilion, I've been thinking about it every day - so it wouldn't be fair to make you wait any longer for more videos on the topic!! If you’re interested in Disney ride history, theme park lore and hottakes, the origins of Epcot, and the history of abandoned visitor attractions, be sure to check out my other videos and subscribe to my channel so you don’t miss any! ps. I should have clarified (but got so entranced by Captain Braddock's smoulder that I forgot) that the 'first restricted ride' refers to a) the literal height restriction LOL and b) the content restriction, with the swooshing lung sequence being cut.
