External Cephalic Version (ECV) | How to Flip a Fetus? | How to Turn a Breech Baby?

ECV is a maneuver in which a breech, transverse or oblique baby is turned to cephalic presentation by manipulation through an abdominal wall. For external cephalic version the abdomen must be thin and relaxed, bladder should have been emptied, CTG must have been done. Tocoloytic should be given for ECV which is 250 micrograms of salbutamol in 25 ml of normal saline (10 micrograms/ml) by slow intravenous injection, or 250 micrograms of terbutaline subcutaneously.
