In this video, I will introduce myself and talk briefly about my academic profile. I will also explain the main goals of this channel and the motivation that has led me to create it. Then, I will proceed to give a general introduction to computational fluid dynamics (CFD), its applications, and its importance in the industry and in technological development for our society. I will also discuss the basic knowledge required to learn CFD, the conservation laws expressed as partial differential equations used in this field, and the most common numerical methods to solve them. Lastly, I will briefly talk about open-source CFD software and the most popular software used to carry out computational simulations of fluid flow, including some examples and a CFD project I was part of.
