Before the launch of this production run, Volkswagen South Africa released the 1.8R, and over the years, there have been many different versions to the story as to how these two models are related. In this video, Ciro does his best to relay his understanding of the history of the car, as well as take it out for a shakedown on some of Gauteng's best backroads, which are similar to the Western Cape's worst backroads.
