Marcus Armstrong Test the 2018 Ferrari F1 SF71H - April 8, 2021 - Fiorano Circuit - V6 Turbo Sound!

This morning, by chance, I saw the Ferrari SF71H single-seater at the Fiorano circuit again. At the wheel the young New Zealand pilot Marcus Armstrong who is currently increasing his experience thanks to the Ferrari Academy program. Most likely, today was a day to accumulate kilometres and familiarity aboard a Formula 1 car. From 2020 Armstrong has competed in the Formula 2 championship, first with the ART Grand Prix team and currently with the DAMS team. In his Palmares, we found the conquest of the Italian Formula 4 championship in 2017. The Ferrari SF71H in the hands of official drivers Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen reached 571 points and second place in the constructors' standings in the 2018 F1 world championship. Designed by Simone Resta and Mattia Binotto, it adopts the Ferrari 062 EVO 1.6-litre V6 turbo hybrid engine coupled to an electronically controlled sequential semi-automatic gearbox consisting of 8 gears + reverse. Other construction features include a chassis in composite material and carbon fibre, and the overall weight of the car is 733Kg with water, oil and driver. Al volante il giovane pilota Neozelandese Marcus Armstrong che attualmente sta accrescendo la sua esperienza grazie al programma Ferrari Academy. Molto probabilmente oggi è stata una giornata per accumulare chilometri e dimestichezza a bordo di una vettura formula 1. Dal 2020 Armstrong gareggia nel campionato di Formula 2, prima con il team ART Grand Prix ed attualmente con il Team DAMS. Nel suo palmares troviamo la conquista del campionato italiano Formula 4 nel 2017. Per quanto riguarda la monoposto, la Ferrari SF71H nelle mani dei piloti ufficiali Sebastian Vettel e Kimi Räikkönen ha conquistato 571 punti ed il secondo posto nella classifica costruttori nel campionato del mondo F1 del 2018. Progettata da Simone Resta e Mattia Binotto adotta il motore Ferrari 062 EVO da 1.6-Litri V6 turbo ibrido accoppiato ad un cambio semiautomatico sequenziale a controllo elettronico formato da 8 marce + retromarcia. Altre caratteristiche costruttive comprendono un telaio in materiale composito e fibra di carbonio ed il peso complessivo della monoposto è di 733Kg con acqua, olio e pilota.
