https://ssm.lnk.to/damoito DAMO is a Japanese experimental and improvisation band, with collaboration between Shunji Mori (member of NATURAL CALAMITY and GABBY & LOPEZ) and Daiho Soga (member of CIRCO DE SASTRE and CINEMA DUB MONKS). Mori’s NATURAL CALAMITY released 7 albums, GABBY & LOPEZ released 4 albums. Their melancholic sounds highly commended by Jack Johnson and 'Dark Water & Stars' chosen for his movie soundtrack to 'Thicker Than Water'. Soga is well known for the member of modern circus group called CIRCO DE SASTRE and, he plays variety of instruments for the performance like flute, harmonica, cavaquinho, steel pan, etc... His another project called CINEMA DUB MONKS is a Japanese cinematic improvisational duets and they have toured Europe five times with stops including Barcelona, Lisbon, Berlin, and Paris. In 2004, they were nominated for Gilles Peterson’s 'World Track of The Year' and, they hs released 3 albums and 1 vinyl.
