Adityanath government orders withdrawal of case against Yogi Adityanath

The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has ordered the withdrawal of a 1995 case against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself and other accused including Minister of State for Finance Shiv Pratap Shukla and BJP lawmaker Sheetal Pandey. The case has been withdrawn under a new law passed last week, which provides amnesty to politicians from what the Chief Minister has called old, "non-serious" cases against them.
