Being fond of gliders, I decided to go to Sunset Beach in Monterey Bay, California for a growing RC sloper event put on by Aloft Hobbies. It's called Camp n Fly because it's right next to Sunset State Beach South Camping Spot. The entire lot gets booked up pretty early on and since I brought my family I ended up staying at the Hilton in Watsonville along with some other folks. There's a small fee to enter the State Park, once in, you drive to the South Camping spot and walk a short 1.5min to the top of the hill which overlooks Monterey Bay. These guys are fun to fly with, I would recommend not being shy and raiding the camp for a beverage or snack while introducing yourself.
