The movie starts out on Searcy Avenue at Hatchett's Store. We travel down Parrish Street and then back on Searcy Avenue at Hamilton Blvd. where I stop at Mr. Ira Hardy's Service Station. As you can see, we had good service back then. They would wash the windshield and check under the hood. Mr. Hardy was a great guy. Back on Searcy and then on North Searcy headed toward town. Next, we are on East Broadway Street and pass under the 6th Street Bridge that been replaced. Continuing on West Broadway Street headed toward Quilly Street. Then we jump to East Taylor Street headed north. Next, we're on West Taylor going over the overhead bridge. The next street is 13th Street heading toward Experiment where I crossed over the railroad. The next scene is Mary Hoard Cantrell standing outside her car in the Dundee #1 parking lot. Mary was the mother of our late Sheriff Richard Cantrell. In the next scene I was headed out West McIntosh. There are many businesses in this area today. Sorry for the movie film flicker. You may notice the area where First Assembly of God Church is located today. It was a single lane highway all the way back then. Then in the next scene I am headed back toward Griffin on 92 Highway. You may get a glimpse of a lot younger me. At the top of the hill on the left is the house where Dewey and Helen Wright lived. I worked with Helen at Dundee. She was a very sweet lady. Helen loved cooking cakes and I was very fortunate to get a sample almost every working day. The End. Hope you enjoyed the 1969 trip through parts of Griffin.
