Here’s a fan fiction scenario that I think could really change the karate kid timeline. What if Bobby wasn’t told by Sensei Kreese to put LaRusso out of commission? Bobby tells his sensei that he can beat this guy, where Kreese tells him he doesn’t want him beaten, he wants him out of commission. Bobby reluctantly goes to face Daniel, and precisely kicks in Daniel’s left knee. Now if Bobby didn’t listen to his sensei’s orders, he would have fought Daniel, and I believe he would have won. If we look at how Daniel fights, all of his opponents, most of the fight he gets pummelled, we saw it with Johnny, Chozen, and Mike. Only at the last moment, Daniel pulls out some finishing move that none of his opponents see coming. The crane, the drum technique, and kata. Every single one of those finishers, confused his opponent, and would only be effective that one and last time. If Bobby fought Daniel properly to his full abilities, he would have beat him. It may not have been super easy for Bobby, but he would have won. The fact that Daniel couldn’t put weight on his leg was what actually led to Johnny and Cobra Kai’s defeat. Had Daniel been able to use his leg and not resort to some crazy fight move to confuse his opponents like the crane technique, then he’d have continued to fight normally against his opponents who wouldn’t have gotten blind sided or confused. Now all is fair with how Daniel fought, but in this scenario I don’t think he would have thought to use the crane technique as a last ditch effort to compensate for his leg. Bobby would have won, throwing Daniel out of the all valley, and granting Cobra Kai the trophy, with Johnny having beaten Vidal and Bobby beating Daniel, Cobra Kai would have won the tournament. This would have jump started Terry Silver’s future plans to open more dojos throughout the valley. Karate Kid 2 could have focused on Daniel and Miyagi being surrounded by Cobra Kai dojos all throughout the valley when they got back from Okinawa for summer break. Mike Barnes wouldn’t be around the Valley, as Terry Silver wouldn’t have a need for him since he’d already have partnered to open more dojos from the big win. This would lead to Daniel and Miyagi having to open their own public dojo of Miyagi Do, basically what Cobra Kai seasons 1 2 and 3 are doing, but in the karate kid 80’s realm. The only way Miyagi Do would be able to beat Cobra Kai would be to have another ally with Miyagi Do. We could either have him reach out to Sato, if his honour would allow it, or this is where Locus Valley Karate could come in, and Vidal could team up with Daniel. After losing to Johnny, he would want to fix that loss and the two dojos unite to come under one name, uniting senseis, they’d have a better chance. To really beat Cobra Kai, it would take Miyagi reaching out to Sato after they made amends, Sato is basically Miyagi’s Terry silver. Rich karate master only in Okinawa. This could open doors for east meets west for real where Sato could come to California and help fund Miyagi Do Karate. The final showdown could be Miyagi vs Kreese and Silver vs Sato, the most epic showdown of the century, with Daniel vs Johnny, once again for a winner takes all in the Valley. Now as for who would win, I think Miyagi do would win, but I want you to let me know in the comments below. Thank you for watching this Cobra Kai Theory and I'll see you in the next episode. Until then...remember.... PAIN DOES NOT EXIST IN THIS DOJO! DOES IT?!
