ICC Registrar Peter Lewis on 17 July: Day of International Criminal Justice

On this Day of International Criminal Justice, we call for global cooperation to build a more just world. Since its inception in 2002, the ICC has been fighting against impunity. 19 years later, we are dealing with more situations and cases than ever, for the gravest of crimes. In these challenging times, the Court is reflecting on ‘what’ we can do better, and ‘how’ we do it. We are determined to become a stronger organisation and fulfil our mandate to the best of our capabilities. To improve our capacity, we are strengthening our cooperation with global partners, States Parties and civil society. We are determined to show the results of our work and continue to serve our mandate for humanity. With your support to build a more just world, the ICC will stand strong, as a beacon of hope for peace and justice.
