I’ll be baking the best chocolate chip banana bread made with easy pantry ingredients, making a 4-ingredient Shepherd’s Pie, and showing how to create a fun salami rose that’s perfect for holiday charcuterie boards. It has that vibrant, classic blue color everyone loves, but in a more compact, space-friendly form that fits beautifully into smaller gardens and is incredibly hardy. The BEST Banana Bread Recipe: 1.5 cups of flour 1/2 cup of granulated sugar 1 tsp of baking soda 1/2 tsp of salt 3 Ripe bananas 1/2 stick of butter (yields 1/4 cup melted) 2 eggs Combine your dry ingredients, then add in your melted butter, 3 mashed bananas, and 2 beaten eggs. Stir to combine. Batter will be thick, then fold in nuts or chocolate chips if you prefer. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes until golden, and toothpick in center comes out clean. Enjoy! Cozy & Delicious Thanksgiving Shepherd’s Pie.: 1 package of lean ground turkey (a pound or just over) 4-5 med to large sweet potatoes 2 jars or cans of turkey gravy 1 bag of frozen veggies of your choice Start by prepping your sweet potatoes. I prefer to bake mine as I feel like they carmelize and get sweeter. I wash them, pierce them with a fork, and lay on a baking pan lined with parchment paper. They go into the oven at 400-450 degrees for an hour or 1.5 hrs. You can also peal and cube them and boil them until soft like you would traditional mash potatoes. There is a recipe listed below. Once your potatoes are prepared, begin working on your turkey. Brown your turkey, seasoning with a chopped small onion, or using onion powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and poultry seasoning. If you don't have poultry seasoning on hand, its just a mix of rosemary, sage, thyme, so you can add some of these to season if you have them on hand. Once my baked sweet potatoes have cooled, I peel them and add to a sauce pan. Then add 2 tablespoons of butter, some milk, about a half cup or whatever amount you need to use to get the creaminess you prefer. Then season with some salt and black pepper, and add in some maple syrup for a hint of additional sweetness. Next you'll add the gravy to your cooked ground turkey, stir to combine. Now get your baking dish and begin layering the ingredients. Ground turkey at the bottom, then your bag of mixed veggies (you don't have to cook the vegetables they can be frozen as they will cook/heat through in the oven). Then add your mashed sweet potatoes. You can add some thyme, or additional pads of butter on top before popping into the oven if you prefer. Bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Serve with additional gravy, and a side of your choice.
