Having loved the first couple of seasons of The Bill, the British crime drama which first aired in 1984, I decided to take a pilgrimage to the site of the original police station. The Bill did all its filming on location, and so they simply rented a real building in the East End and dressed it as the police station. After a couple of seasons, filming moved elsewhere, and after the third season it became a half-hour pre-watershed series. These first three seasons have amazing cars and locations, giving a real flavour of life in London in the mid-1980s
