In this video we will show you a 5000 years old village which is situated at the dangerous top of a hill of salt range in thick forest. The people of that village had made different arrangements at that time for their safety you will surprise to see. Two ponds were constructed to store water in this village and lots of houses were constructed for people to live by trim of many stones. This village is so ancient that some historians think that its civilization resembles to the civilization of an ancient Sindh Valley. According to them a group of people came from Sindh here and settled then the population started here. The village life was very simple and healthy. But slowly and slowly the population eliminated from here completely. Why this population has eliminated no such reason come before us? This Akrand fort is different from other forts of Pakistan. If we compare this Akrand fort with other forts e.g. Shahi Fort Lahore, Fort Rohtas, Fort Rawat, Fort Sheikhupura and Fort Tulaja than you will not see those such things here. But the concept of fort is that we can call it fort considering the point of view to local material and geography. But when Hindu Royal Empire established in Soon Sakesar Valley than many forts were constructed by Raja Mal and his offspring in Soon Sakesar Valley. Some historians think that this Akrand fort is one of them. But this Akrand fort is so ancient of Soon Sakesar Valley that the history is keep quiet about this fort. The authentic history of this Akrand fort is not find there is a need to more research on this fort. Only one way come to this Akrand fort where the main gate was made but now only its ruins and the ruins of the houses remain. This Akrand fort has remained abandoned now in thick forest. Some people relate this Akrand fort with Ghakkars that this fort was constructed by them but no evidence found in the history. The Awan tribes were settled in Soon Sakesar Valley since ancient time which was braves which knew to protect their empire. This Akrand fort settled and deserted like other forts repeatedly. But this Akrand fort is very historical naturally.This Akrand fort had stables for horses, residential houses, palace of Raja and some shops which have now turned into ruins. There is also an ancient deserted grave on the way to the Akrand fort different opinions are about this grave. One is that this is the Shrine of Baba Raja Akranda and the Akrand fort is relate to his name. According to other tradition it is the grave of Raja Tataar’s Khan Janjua. According to the page 104 of Khushab Gazette Akrand fort in Soon Sakesar Valley was built by the men of Raja Tataar Khan Janjua in order to defend the areas of Soon and Pakhar but this tradition is so weak. In short no one have the authentic history of this Akrand fort and village. But the Archaeological department has collected some evidence that this village is approximately 5000 to 6000 years old because the history of forts are not more than 2000 years old. The construction of forts started in Muslims era and now in present situation thick forest has been grown around this fort. The deserted portend is all around this Akrand fort and the ruins are everywhere. The area of this village on the top of the hill is very vast. Now the wild animals live here in which the snakes, fitchews, porcupines, wild cats, wild dogs, jackals, pigs, and other insects find in large numbers. The black francolins find here aplenty and people come here for its hunting surreptitious. The cutting of trees is continuous with the connivance of forest department Khushab. Now the shepherds come this deserted village to graze goats and they have burnt one part of this forest. The deep ditches are present around this Akrand fort that is the reason no sign of walls find around this oldest village and Akrand fort. This area of Soon Sakesar Valley is hidden from the eye of the world now no one comes here. If you want to visit this Akrand fort than the local guide Javed (0327-0139628) take with you otherwise you will be lost in the forest.
