I’m a German creator, but I just can’t connect with German YouTube. And that got me thinking… Should I even be making my videos in German? All my biggest creative influences—Casey Neistat, Van Neistat, Max Joseph—create in English. I even think in English most of the time. And yet, my audience, my business, and everything I’ve built so far is in Germany. The Dilemma Should I fully commit to English and expand my reach? Or is there a gap in German YouTube that I could fill? Does content like this even need to exist in German? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments: If you’re German, would you rather watch this in German, or does English work just fine? If you’re not German, how did you find this video? The 10-Video Challenge This is video #2 in my challenge to grow this channel from 288 to 10,000 subscribers with just 10 videos. So far, we’re at 332 subscribers—thank you for being here. What I Do I help creators and entrepreneurs make better videos—for YouTube, business, and storytelling. I run VideoQuest, a three-month program to help people create videos with impact. If this sounds interesting, let me know in the comments if I should open it up in English, too. Thanks for watching. Let’s see where we are next week. These are the videos I used in the beginning: • A Productive Week in My Life • I Spent My Life Savings To Travel In A Van. • HAPPINESS: The Science of How To Be Happy • Filmmaker's Home Office Tour • The Final Frontier • I Hitchhiked Across India (And this is wha... • Sisyphus and the Impossible Dream • Narcissism vs. Universality • Your Space Reflects Who You Are. • The Oscar-Nominated Editor That Has One Rule • Willem Dafoe's War on Realism • SchyGuyy's Key to Surreal Cinematography
