DigiWind and HydroTwin - Digital Twin for Renewable Energy Systems

By examining digital twin concepts for different renewable energy system use cases, we develop a holistic approach for digital twins in energy systems. In the project "DigiWind", an open digital twin platform for wind turbines is realized. Through the digital twin approach, the flexibility of pump turbines is increased within the project "HydroTwin". The potential of the use of reinforcement learning within a digital twin platform is evaluated in the course of both research projects.
