My lathe (   • Sherline Lathe Stand Build - ASMR Woodworking  ) has a habit of throwing chips and oil all over the place. To fix this, I built a shield to help capture everything. I decided to use dowels to hold everything together. I find the store bought dowel jig far to slow to use and specialized machines are overkill for the average DIYer. I made my own from scraps I had sitting around the shop.
