In this video I test the Ollama AI with two lightweight LLMs: phy3 calculated from the CPU (Ryzen 7 5700G) moondream under GPU acceleration (Intel ARC Battlemage B580, 12GDDR6) The first brain, phy3 is used for general purposes such conversations, web research and translation texts. Moondream allows you to load images into the model that can be described or examined for technical Linux system troubleshooting (that's my personal aim). BMO OS is made in Python script through PyQt6 for the graphical side and Piper+PipeWire for the audio side. The voice module is "Amy English_US" with a slight modified pitch in order to reemble the original BMO voice as much as possible. It is essentially better than Pygame for these specific things and it also have a .txt memory file where I've implemented the main "constitution" of its behavior. It's upgradable and flexible. It can be funny during light moments and serious under technical tasks that requires focus. The monitoring software that I use in this video are: BTOP for the CPU/APU readings LACT for the discrete GPU I'm also planning to implement a bilingual system such the Italian language as well. Keep in touch! ;-)
