Living Water | Woman at the Well | Scripture in Song| John 4,

Living Water and the Feast of Tabernacles Sukkot Shalom, to everyone celebrating! Our newest song, “Living Water – Woman at the Well,” was completed just in time for the Biblical Feast of Sukkot—the Feast of Tabernacles. What a perfect season for this release! For those new to the feasts, Sukkot is one of the seven appointed times (mo’edim) on the Father’s calendar. It is a seven-day celebration where we are called to “tabernacle” with Him, dwelling in His presence with thanksgiving and joy. Scripture calls this season “the Feast of our Joy” (Z’man Simchateinu) and it points us to our Messiah in powerful ways. One of the most beautiful themes of Sukkot is the connection to Living Water. The Living Water Proclamation When our Messiah (Mashiach) attended Sukkot in Jerusalem, He chose the exact moment of the water libation ceremony to reveal something profound. John (Yochonan) records: “On the last and greatest day of the feast, Yahshua stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone is thirsty, let them come to Me and drink! Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of their innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” —John 7:37–39 In this declaration, Messiah revealed Himself as the true source of Living Water—the One who satisfies our deepest thirst and gives the promised Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) to dwell within us. This occurred on the 7th and last day of Sukkot- the 7th and final Biblical feast of the year. “For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; He will lead them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” —Revelation 7:17 The Water Libation Ceremony (Simchat Beit HaShoevah) During the days of Messiah, at the Feast of Sukkot, priests would descend to the Pool of Siloam to draw living water (from a natural spring) into a golden pitcher. With the sounding of the shofar, they would process up the Pilgrim Road to the Temple. There, water and wine were poured onto the altar before the Father—a symbolic prayer for rain, blessing, and spiritual renewal. This daily ceremony was filled with music, dancing, rejoicing, and the light of giant menorahs illuminating the Temple courts. It was known as “the Rejoicing of the Water-Drawing” (Simchat Beit HaShoevah) and tradition says: “Whoever has not seen this joy has never seen true joy.” On the final day—Hoshana Rabbah—the priests circled the altar seven times before pouring out the water, representing the ultimate prayer for salvation. This climactic moment is when, and possibly the very time, Yahshua (Yahusha) lifted His voice and proclaimed Himself the Living Water. The Deeper Meaning The water libation was not just about rain—it was about life, blessing, and the Ruach (Spirit). The prophets had long foretold that the Father would one day pour out His Spirit like water on dry ground: “For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring, and My blessing on your descendants.” —Isaiah 44:3 Yahshua’s words at Sukkot fulfilled these promises. Just as the priests poured water upon the altar, so the Spirit would be poured out upon all who believe in Him. “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” —John 4:14 Sukkot Today As we celebrate this feast, we rejoice not only in the Father’s provision of rain and harvest but also in His eternal promise through Messiah—the Living Water who satisfies every soul. This Sukkot, may we thirst for Him and drink deeply of His Spirit. May rivers of living water flow from within us, bringing refreshment, joy, and life to all around us. I am the Aleph and Tav (את) - “Alpha - Omega”, the beginning and the end. I will give unto those who thirsts of the fountain of the water of life freely. Revelation 21:6 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life. Revelation 22:1 Chag Sameach! Sukkot Shalom! 🌿💧 Miyah #sukkot #feastoftabernacles #livingwater #mayimchayim
