Hey Gothamites! The first time #Batman and his mythology was on the big screen was in Lambert Hillyer‘s 1943 15 chapter serial series “Batman” starring Lewis Wilson as the Caped Crusader. While these black and white serials present an ironically grainy, low budget, and ridiculously racially insensitive early interpretation of DC’s Batman, the influence of the film is important to the overall evolution of the character we enjoy today.
