This Gold Farm uses the new crafter to automatically craft Gold Blocks and Flint and Steel for you. The farm uses item filters to pull all of the gold nuggets out of the system and sends them to a crafter that makes them into gold ingots, then pulls gold ingot drops from the mobs down, and sends the ingots from the crafter, and from the mobs into another crafter to make those ingots into Gold blocks. It takes 81 nuggets to make 1 gold block, meaning you are saving 81x the space by using the crafter. The swords are also pulled out of the drops, smelted, and sent to the same crafter systems. This gold farm uses Flint and Steel as well, rather than Lava lighting. Flint and Steel is actually faster per portal, and uses intended game mechanics, where as Lava lighting, while cheap and convenient, uses a game bug called forced updating to operate, and could be removed. It also builds up more pending ticks, causing more lag in your world, and has the potential to corrupt your world if you run it too fast for too long. The biggest downside of the flint and steel method used to be having to craft the flint and steel, but now we have the crafter to automatically do that for us!
