In this episode we're headed to the highest areas of the Laurel Hill Anticline in Somerset, Pennsylvania near the Laurel Mountain Ski Resort. We'll be staying in the beautiful Forbes State Forest at the motor vehicle campsite #2. They call this dispersed camping, being further apart from other RV campers and more surrounded by wilderness. Motor vehicle campsite 2 is at the end of a dead-end gravel road near the entrance to the Zufall Trail. You'll see very little human activity out here as you sleep under the stars in the clearing of the campsite surrounded by second-growth forest. In this documentary of the experience, we'll get a good tour of the site, explore the rock garden behind camp (I get stuck on a huge boulder like a cat in a tree) and the bog down the road, and go on a night mission with the local nocturnal animals with a thermal Scope.
