The Lycian Way (Lykian Yolu) is a long distance trail that follows the coastline and explores the mountains between Turkey's cities of Fethiye and Antalya via Patara, Kalkan, Kas, Demre, Finike, Adrasan, Olympos, Cirali, and Tahtali. It is Turkey's first ever long distance trail and was designed by Kate Clow, a UK citizen who knows Turkey very well indeed. Meandering through rural communities and fishing fishing villages, it shows visitors the part of Turkey that isn't seen by visitors who head for the all inclusive resorts. Walkers on the Lycian Way will experience kindness from strangers that will define their journey. Along the way, walkers will visit ancient ruins, view beautiful scenery and wild camp in exquisite locations. Backpackers will love the Lycian Way due to it being the near perfect backpacking trail for hikers. Wild camping is legal and there are many places that are suitable to put a tent down. Many of the camp spots have a fire pit too. Hikers will be able to enjoy stunnig sunrises and sunsets from many of the iconic camp spot locations.
