Unboxing Heteropteryx dilatata & Pseudophasma fulvum Jungle nymph stick insect care sheet Heteropteryx dilatata • Feed on bramble, ivy, rose, eucalyptus, oak, hawthorn • High humidity Pseudophasma fulvum Care Sheet General information • Both males and females can fly. • Males are much smaller than females and as such are better fliers • Nocturnal. Care • Need an arboreal set up so heights more important than width. • I keep mine at room temperature. • I use toilet paper as a substrate which I spray every day. • I keep mine in a well-ventilated cage as to avoid the build-up of mould. • Maintain a humidity of 70-80%. You can achieve this by adding moss or/and using vermiculite as a substrate and spraying the enclosure regularly. Feeding • I feed mine on privet, bramble and buddleia • Keep cuttings in a jar of water to keep them fresh for longer. Use tin foil to cover the jar to prevent the animals from falling in. Reproduction • They reproduce via sexual reproduction so a male is required for fertile eggs to be produced. Please subscribe and check out my other videos. I also keep many other species of invertebrate and at present have: Mexican red knee tarantula (Brachypelma smithi) Madagascan land crab (Magadapotamon humberti) Necroscia annulipes Black beauty stick insect (Peruphasma schultei) Pseudophasma fulvum Jungle nymph stick insect (Heteropteryx dilatata) Giant thorny stick insect (Trachyaretaon brueckneri)
