In this 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe, we took things to the next level while keeping everything factory clean. I’m Darren with Audio Designs & Custom Graphics in Jacksonville, Florida—and here’s the breakdown: We integrated seamlessly into the factory radio and added a full Audison & Hertz Mille Legend setup. Up front, we used Hertz ML1650.3s in the doors, ML700.3s in the dash, and custom-mounted ML280 tweeters. In the rear, we matched with ML1650.3s and more ML280s in the pillars. Everything is running active and dialed in with full DSP control. The brains of the system? • Audison Forza AFM8.14bit DSP amplifier for precise tuning, EQ flattening, and time alignment. • Audio Dynamics ADK1800.6 to power mids and highs. • Audio Dynamics 3000.1 to push a monster Sundown X Series 15” subwoofer in a custom enclosure. We also flush-mounted both Audio Dynamics amps into the floor and built a clean bezel for the 15” Sundown to give it a factory+ finish. Plus, we added a DRC AC controller to give the client full control of presets, source, volume, and valet mode. Total install time? About 3 days. Total result?
