In this video I present five practical habits that can significantly improve your pool game. Each habit is demonstrated through short excerpts from a run-out, showing how these ideas apply in real situations at the table. At the end of the video, I show the complete run-out, highlighting when and why each habit is used during play. The five habits covered are: • Breathing – How conscious diaphragmatic breathing improves focus, calmness, and fine motor control. • Walking the table – Using movement around the table to gather information on angles, pocketing lines, and cue ball paths. • Using the cue as a planning tool – Visualising cue ball routes and landing zones before executing the shot. • Standing up when something feels wrong – Resetting your routine instead of forcing a shot when preparation is not correct. • Staying down on the shot – Maintaining stability through and after contact to improve accuracy and cue ball control. These habits are simple, but together they create clearer thinking, better decision-making, and more consistent execution at the table.
