The Lore of Alastor's Human Design and Backstory in Hazbin Hotel Season 2

Did you notice this in Hazbin Hotel? During season 2 episode 4 we learned about Alastor’s backstory and also what he looked like as a human. Let’s talk about it. So as rosie said, alastor was quite handsome when he was alive. He was a radio host in New Orleans, Louisiana. He had a secret though, he was a serial killer. In the woods he had a shack where he conducted rituals and hid the bodies of his victims. Their skin and body parts would be missing meaning he was perhaps a cannibal as well. There he accepted a deal with rosie to become the strongest sinner in all of hell. The next day however while hiding a body he was mistaken for a deer and shot by a hunter. All of this impacted alastor’s design as a demon. His hair and antlers resemble a deer which he was mistaken for. The red in his design reflecting his gruesome backstory. And his golden teeth resemble the radio that he used to contact rosie. Back in 2019 during the pilot era vivzie drew an early design of what she thinks alastor would look like as a human on a livestream. It looks similar to what he looks like in the final show, though upgraded a lot obviously. Personally i love alastor’s human design. I’ve seen some people confused about why he’s so attractive as a human, but looks ugly as a sinner. You don’t get to choose your appearance when you die. It’s determined based on your sin and how you died. That’s the tragedy with alastor. If he had died later on lets say from natural causes. He likely would’ve just resembled rosie or the other cannibals, and would’ve kept his charming appearance. However he was sloppy and karma caught up to him, leading him to an early grave.
