recently bought a little labs redeye 3D and it has completely changed my workflow in terms of re-amaping. no more aggregate devices/switching audio interfaces (especially since I find aggregate devices to be buggy). this setup now makes everything so much easier. My setup consists of: RME UCX AXE FX 3 Cubase 14 Pro on a Macbook Pro M1 Little Labs Redeye 3D so you plugin your guitar into the front left of the little labs redeye, on the front right you put a 1/4 inch instrument cable going to the axe fx 3 input "INSTR" at the front of the axe fx. Now at the back of the little labs redeye, on the back right you plug in an XLR - XLR to your RME UCX and then go into totalmix and turn that mic/line 1/2 into 48V [so that it activates phantom power]. you should see a red led come on in the little labs. now on the back left of the little labs you connect an XLR - 1/4 inch TRS cable . the XLR goes to the little labs and the 1/4 inch TRS side goes to the RME output. I personally run 2 SPDIF cables going from the RME to the axe fx 3. now finally for the routing in the cubase, see the video showing input/output configuration arm the di track to send the .wav to the output [in my case output 5 = "AXE"] create a new track and set the input as SPDIF of the RME. NOTE: you can hit the "monitor" button on the track to hear what the reamped signal sounds like before you record
