The new Nothing ear (3) have this unique TALK button on the case, but that's just one of the many interesting aspects of these earbuds. So what did Nothing just launch? Look at this, an aluminum earbuds case with a talk button and these two circles next to the usb port… These are the new Nothing ear (3) earbuds and let me tell you, Nothing really put in some work. In a world of boring earbuds that copy each other, these are certainly different and not in a gimmicky way. These are actually so good. Possibly my favorite earbuds of the year! THE CASE!!! Aluminum and plastic - injection molded together Lanyard loop Wireless charging What is this talk button? MIC TEST Hold talk button to use the case mic Double press super mic for longer conversations to switch for longer Return with a single press When not on a call, use the talk button to activate the voice assistant You can also use the button on the case for essential space - only on NothingOS I jokingly said I wanted the button to be a walkie talkie when I saw the posts online and guess what… I opened the app and WALKIE TALKIE MODE!!! Now it’s not really transmitting like a walkie talkie, instead it just mutes when you aren’t talking. Great for business calls or meetings EARBUDS DESIGN Water resistance = IP54 Controls - pinch only Sadly no swipe controls for volume SOUND Codecs = LDAC! So good! I can easily listen at low volumes and I happily hear all details 12mm dynamic driver Definitely a deep bass Minimal distortion Very wide sound stage, surprisingly clean bass, clear highs, and lots of details Mids are not eclipsed by the large bass or crisp highs Bass is very low and surprisingly strong. Sometimes a tad stronger than I would like personally, but still clean Still the best EQ in the industry I don’t often say this, but these earbuds sound really really good. There’s not much to dislike about t Dynamic bass enhancement? ANC Not the best for inconsistent sounds Honestly, not as good as the Buds3 FE TRANSPARENCY Still the weird breath gasp when transitioning Not really any white noise Sounds decent, but a bit quiet (can you adjust this in the app?) You won’t forget these are in, the muted sound is frustrating Honestly, not as good as the Buds3 FE FEATURES Static Spatial Audio Double pinch your earbuds to talk with ChatGPT (on Nothing phones) 5.5/20 hr battery Instant pairing with Android & Microsoft, and just standard pairing on iOS of course Quick charge - 10 min = up to 10 hrs of playback With LDAC & ANC on, the battery drops to 3.5 hrs. At least they’re honest. 5.5 hrs with ANC off. Honestly, the ANC is weak on these so I’ll just leave it off Bluetooth 5.4 Low lag mode Multipoint connectivity - but super mic will take longer Fit test Find my earbuds Did these just become my new favorite earbuds? The only weaknesses are the ANC/Transparency. Also no precision UWB finding. And no swipe gestures on earbuds. I don’t know what the price will be yet. I’ll add that to the video description once I know. The previous generations were around $150 at launch so I imagine these might be like $200.
