If you like slow motion train wrecks check this out. It's full of hubris and noob mistakes. But it's all part of the learning process, right? One of the few surviving demos with ingame voice from MuffinMan and Popa Seagull. The ending to 30:53 made me cackle. And yes, Cyber is hard to understand much of the time. We reverse the A/B sites and call banana "hallway." Also Cyber and I have bad pings. ------ 0:00 - Start. 2:36 - 2K mp5. 2:47 - Hubris. 4:10 - Cyber 3K in apt. 4:33 - Laggy HS. 5:51 - 3K in A. 7:38 - Popa struggle. 9:55 - Canada 3K in A. 12:12 - I get 1 balcony. 12:33 - We shouldn't lose this. 13:44 - 1 A thru box. 15:18 - They defuse under our nose. 15:58 - Minch aces us in B. 16:28 - Minch POV. ------ 16:50 - Halftime. 17:38 - Live (CT). 18:10 - 2K pistol round. 20:43 - Canada insecure about Cyber's tips. 23:28 - Fail spray. 25:00 - Canada nades Cyber. 27:55 - Muffin struggle. 28:44 - Laggy HS. 29:15 - Popa TKs me (my fault). 29:36 - Popa POV. 30:22 - I push middle and get 2. 30:53 - COMEDIC CATASTROPHE. 31:52 - They snuck up middle. 32:18 - Reloaded aces us at B. 32:58 - Crying Muffin collage. 34:33 - Popa/Muffin argue. 35:47 - We learn the truth. 36:33 - Scores. 36:44 - Bonus pregame. ------ MISTAKES: No one picked up Cyber's AK 2nd round T. I died to the bomb w/ colt when I had plenty of time to escape. But we didn't have money problems so it probably didn't matter. Muffin picked up the bomb in the 1v1 instead of hunting the CT. We lost a 3v2 with bomb planted in part because Canada was still at banana. Might've won if Cyber stayed back too but who knows. We let the CTs defuse when 3 of us were alive. Popa and I went too slow apartment, and someone planted in the site instead of in clear view of the balcony. We let Minch mow us down last round of 1st half. Cyber said he died from auto weapon pickup. I was just bad. Canada convinced us we won 1st half 9-3, but it was actually 8-4. Biggest flaw: As CT we didn't type money, eco, or buy together. This is a running issue I see in my old 1.5 demos. I died to a strafing mp5er at B hall. If I got him we might've won. I didn't get deag/armor last round. Cyber and Muffin didn't buy out either. Again, bad situational awareness. Maybe we were hungry because it was dinner time. ------ OTHER COMMENTS: I wonder if K4OS was a DKC3 reference. Popa Seagull was an OG TFR member who recruited me from the TFR Hot Cinnamon public server. We saw him again in 2006 and he was CAL-M. His team beat us on Inferno. I have a clip from that scrim where I'm awping banana, Popa crouch hop peeks the bottom of banana, my awp shot goes 0.1 mm above his head, then he awps me. Canada said throwing nades over the B wall was illegal, then Poppa said it's fine in CAL. Imagine how painful CS would be if you couldn't do that. I remember even many years later opposing teams would sometimes complain that throwing HE nades over a wall to hear the "flinch" sound was illegal in CAL. Nope. I said I was usually the leader on this map. Maybe we had different leaders per map in the absence of AceMcbanon, our usual ingame leader. ------ Result: TIE GAME (T: 8-4, CT: 4-8) TFR Roster: Marshmallow AKA BleedingSnow (POV), Cyberwrath, Canada, Popa Seagull, MuffinMan Inertia Creeps Roster: K4OS, Marklar, Minch, Reloaded, Pedestrian March 22, 2003 Type: Scrim ------ Audio settings: "217" profile - +3 gain on each track.
