For Food and Travel lovers, the southern region of Thailand is truly among the top destinations on planet Earth. For me personally, I consider a combination of Thai food, Chinese food, and Indian/Malay to include all the world's best foods, and in the south of Thailand actually its quite easy to have great versions of ALL these foods without even leaving the central city. The town of Hat Yai would therefore be a top recommendation not just in Thailand, but in all of Asia, and so any chance I have to visit is always going to be supremely exciting. This trip is a shorter one, but I think we have done well to capture four videos in just the three days here. Each video (hopefully) captures a different aspect of what makes Hat Yai (and Southern Thailand) just so unique in terms of its amazing food diversity, and I have honestly had a lot of fun putting these videos together. **Obviously in three days, we ate more than just four meals (much more :) so you can trust that I also am picking my favorites even during this one trip! So I really do stand by these dishes, and these meals, as ultimate single meal experiences of a trip to the South. If you are planning a trip for yourself, I imagine you probably already have "Dim Sum Buffet" on your list - I can say that Krabi town (also Phuket town) would tie for 3rd, Nakon Sri Tammarat a close-runner up (but still 2nd!), but for me its Hat Yai coming 1st, but anyways these would be my picks for THE three towns that need a visit when Food and Travel is dictating the itinerary. Chok Dee Dim Sum is a great place to have a meal like this, and they took care of us very well today. Thank you for watching this video, I hope you enjoy all 4 videos in this short series! LOCATION: There are now multiple restaurants (branches) with this name in Hat Yai, find the location we visited for Chok Dee Dim Sum ("Chok Dee Tae Tian") here, on Google Maps https://maps.app.goo.gl/AqaMTJN3oYWhH... PRICES: Each of these small steamers (called "Keng" in Thai) run from 20 to 35 baht (0.60$US to 1$US), depending on ingredients of course, and there were about 15 different varieties available today.
