This video will answer the above questions and help you understand the key terms and processes in this exponentially growing field. In 2020, the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI), through its Centre for AI and Robotics, and the Ministry of Interior of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) launched the AI for Safer Children initiative with the aim of tackling sexual exploitation and abuse of children online through the adoption of new technological solutions, specifically in the AI sphere. This online platform – the Global Hub – was created to display available AI tools and learning resources for preventing and countering the sexual exploitation and abuse of children online.
