Full Transcript... Hello Quincy Mayor Tom Koch here with a Covid 19 update on this wintery day. A few flurries. Could be a lot worse. I am not complaining. Today's numbers. 44 new cases which is really down a bit from where we have been in the last couple of weeks but we are expecting to see a little bit of a rise post-holiday get-togethers and I hope most people observed the protocols. So, the 2-week average 55.7. The key is we are in that 6 percent positivity rate and that's the number that we've got to get down in addition to the raw numbers. We ask that you continue to please follow the guidelines as they have been put out daily by mass.gov as well as Governor Baker's recommendation. CDC recommendations. There's good news with the vaccine here. A number of our first responders have received the vaccines and I want to thank Cynthia Sierra and the crew at Manet Health who have done remarkable work partnering with us during this crisis. I also want to thank Ruth Jones and her team in the Quincy Health Department that continue to work so hard along with the first responders City wide. We will keep you posted on the vaccine as we continue to move forward on the different phases of that. We will certainly make that available to you. I was asked to remind folks that this Saturday a little normal thing going on and that's a hockey game between Quincy and North Quincy High School at the Quincy Youth Arena. Although it's not open to the public, I think they are allowing one parent per family to watch the game but they are going to live stream it. We will put that link up over the next few days if you are interested to catch that. I know it's a big deal for the seniros particularly between the two high schools. I hope all is well. Stay well. God Bless.
