1997 jaguar XK8 rear shocks with coil springs I looked all over for a video like this I couldn’t find one so I decided to make it. First step is to jack up and support vehicle then removing the rear tire, Remove the rear brake caliper, disconnect the ABS sensor, disconnect the stabilizer bar link from Lower control arm, disconnect the bottom of the shock. Then remove the shock mount nuts, Once you have the shock mount nuts off push down on the rotor with your forearm to unseat the coil spring then pry the shock up using the coil spring as leverage... once you see that you have the shock above the hole that’s in the Lower Control arm, just pull the bottom of the coil spring towards the caliper brake bracket, the shock will come out and then you’ll be able to remove it with coil spring then install in the reverse order #shocksreplacement #mobileasemechanic #austintxmechanic
