Our channel is focused on NEET Education in Tamil. This video on Physics is about the topic drift velocity and current for class 12. The relationship between current and drift velocity is an important topic in electricity. Current (I) is defined as flow of charges over time. This current depends on important factors such as Number of electrons per cubic meter, Volume of conductor, and the drift velocity of the electrons. Drift velocity (Vd) is the velocity when the electrons drift towards lower potential under constant acceleration due to electric field. In this video the relationship between the Drift velocity and Current is discussed, the equation that relates these two quantities is also explained. I = neAVd A copper wire of diameter 0.65 mm carries a current of 0.25 A. There are 8.5 × 10 power 28 charge carriers in each cubic meter of copper; the charge on each charge carrier (electron) is1.6 × 10 power -19 C. Calculate the drift speed of the charge carriers.
