Even though the Supreme Court has ordered that stray dogs should be put into shelters, the harsh reality is that the wolves hungry for flesh are still roaming free in our society. It was only on 11th August when a private school teacher, Manisha, went to a nursing college for admission information. From that day, she went missing. Two days later, her dead body was discovered in a field near her village. At that time, there was a deep cut on her neck, and even her clothes were not in proper condition. But when the postmortem report came from Bhiwani Civil Hospital, it shockingly declared her death as a suicide. Her family strongly rejected this claim, saying that Manisha could never have taken such a step. After this, postmortems were conducted again at PGIMS Rohtak and even at AIIMS Delhi. Yet, both institutions also declared it as a case of suicide. Instead of ensuring justice, the so-called “double-engine” government of Haryana merely transferred a few police officers. Not only this, but the Haryana government even shut down the mobile networks of Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri for two days, so that no one could raise questions against them. But the truth is, questions will continue to rise until real justice is served. For now, the case has been handed over to the CBI for investigation. Sadly, this is not the first such incident. If we look back: In 1973, there was the Aruna Shanbaug case. In 1972, the infamous Mathura case, where two policemen themselves sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl. If governments keep turning a blind eye and fail to take strict action in such matters, then one must ask — does Article 21 of our Constitution, the Right to Life, truly even exist in practice? 1. *"Stray Dogs in Shelters, But Human Predators Still Roam Free"* 2. *"The Shocking Case of Manisha: Suicide or Murder?"* 3. *"Justice Denied?
