Algoma University, Canada was established in 1965 as Algoma College, affiliated to Laurentian University in Sudbury. In 2008, the University was granted its charter to operate as a fully autonomous university and became the 19th university in Ontario, Canada. Algoma University – an undergraduate-only institution is fully committed in its mission to be a teaching-oriented university that cultivates and promotes inclusive, respectful and safe cross-cultural learning community that values the opportunities to learn from staff, students, and visitors from communities in Northern Ontario as well as from all parts of the world. It is the smallest University in Ontario. Through the three faculties of the school namely Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences, and Faculty of Humanities, Algoma University offers more than 30 academic programs in different fields of study. Algoma offers admissions to Canadian, U.S., and international students for either full- time or part-time courses.
