⭐⭐⭐ Subtitles (CC) are available for Flavor Notes & Cooking Tips! ⭐⭐⭐ Hello everyone, I'm Alin 🤗 This food journey episode takes us to Guilin, the city of Chinese landscapes. Surrounded by karst peaks, this city is not only picturesque, but also home to mouthwatering classic breakfasts and authentic local snacks! In the early morning, the city’s largest morning market is bustling with activity! We start with a classic breakfast—a bowl of Guilin rice noodles! The smooth, tender rice noodles are paired with a secret sauce and crispy roast pork, making it the locals’ favorite breakfast. There’s also the traditional rice roll, where soft, sticky rice wrappers encase fresh shrimp and bean sprouts, topped with sauce—don’t forget the crushed peanuts! Each bite is incredibly aromatic! Guilin has a variety of authentic snacks: sticky dog tongue pancakes, crispy buckwheat pancakes, and sweet red bean rice dumplings—each one is a traditional old-fashioned flavor! Meat lovers should queue up at the iron plate roast duck stall, where the duck is first roasted then pan-fried, resulting in a crispy skin and tender meat; There’s also charcoal-grilled pork jerky, brushed with osmanthus honey sauce, blending sweet and salty flavors that become more aromatic with each chew; salt-baked chicken uses traditional methods to lock in the original flavor, selling over a hundred pieces daily! Guilin’s fruits and vegetables are also impressive—Guangxi Province is renowned for its lychees, with translucent flesh, high sugar content, and juiciness; yellow skin fruit is tart and refreshing, often used in summer iced drinks. =========================================================== #ChineseBreakfast #ChinaMorningMarket #ChinaFoodTour #Guilin #GuilinFood #AlinFoodWalk
