They concluded that it must have originated in a place where certain specific conditions would be available for its formation. According to NASA's Cosmicopia, the process of nucleosynthesis is also responsible for the creation of iron in stars. The minimum temperature for this to occur is about 5 million degrees. This is only observed in stars containing the matter of about 10 suns. When the amount of iron exceeds in a star, a huge explosion known as supernova, takes place, causing the iron to be scattered in space. Consequently, some of these iron meteorites moving freely in space collided with Earth, moving deep into its core. In the Quran, one of the elements that is well emphasized is Iron. There is a chapter in the Qur'an named upon it, called as "Al-Hadid" which itself means "The Iron". The following verse in Surah-Al-Hadid is sufficient to prove the extraterrestrial origin of Iron: لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَأَنزَلْنَا مَعَهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْمِيزَانَ لِيَقُومَ النَّاسُ بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَأَنزَلْنَا الْحَدِيدَ فِيهِ بَأْسٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ مَن يَنصُرُهُ وَرُسُلَهُ بِالْغَيْبِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ We have already sent Our messengers with clear evidences and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that the people may maintain [their affairs] in justice. And We sent down iron, wherein is great military might and benefits for the people, and so that Allah may make evident those who support Him and His messengers unseen. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might. [Al Qur'an 57:25] Furthermore, Allah ﷻ uses the word "anzalna" which means "sent down" especially for iron rather than the word that He uses for describing all His creations which is "khalaqa", meaning "to create". It became a complicated matter of comprehension for the islamic scholars of the past since there is always a presence of precision in the words of Allah ﷻ. Indeed iron is also His creation but the fact that He used this term is to be explicit about its origin. As Allah ﷻ describes, Iron is beneficial for the people, He didn't only mean its importance in materialistic purposes but also the importance to sustain life on earth.
